Ark Releases New Project!

ARK

As said before about the many men and women over the years that have fought and died for the rights of the people, yet another revolutionary has come for a time and generation such as this. Never considered average, nor the one that stood out, but simply the one chosen to lead a new fight in music. ARK the God Given precisely named as an acronym taken from her birth name (Andrea Reneice Kellum) given on September 16th, 1982. Originally from Houston, she’s lived in San Jose, Memphis, New Jersey and Italy. Raised by her grandparents without a father and later reunited with her mother ARK has dealt with the reality of being hurt at a very young age. Her life is what gives her the ability to deliver heart hitting songs to keep you uplifted as gospels and contradicting tales of loving the streets that make you relate through story telling like only a street disciple could. Not the typical female rapper to cross the airwaves, the heavy lyrical content is sure to keep her in a league of her own. Lauryn Hill is the reason she ever thought it possible to rhyme, among legends such as Queen Latifa, Roxanne, Mc Lyte, Moni Love, Public Enemy, The Roots, Jay-Z, Biggie, 2-Pac, Jean Grae, The Last Poets, Stacey Ann Chin, Angela Davis, Meshell N’dgeocello, Rage Against the Machine, Nirvana, Dave Matthews, Skunk Anasie, … and to know the rest you would have to look through her collection counted well over 1,500 cd’s, cassette and vinyl. Now introducing the world to the product of what she calls a God given testimonial report, she’s bringing what hip hop and life has given her through the worst of time…a reason. Knowing that she isn’t comparable to any, she refers to herself through scripture as the Isaiah 53 of her time.As ARK puts in her own words like this …” When nothing is all you’ve known to have, no matter how hard you work or how much you could steal all you can do is pray. And I did, God considered me and I know I shouldn’t be here, but I am and as long as I wake up I know God has given me purpose. In every line is my struggle, my hustle, my down falls, my confessions, my fears, my hopes, I’m real, I’m honest because I’m writing for tomorrow today. Today is all I have.” A well rounded young woman that is sure to take music and it’s industry into the next level of hip hop is bringing you what will go down in history as legendary. Ready or not, the revolution has begun
